From an impressive pool of nearly 150 Link Parks customer submissions, our team has selected five finalists for our first Small Business Challenge. These standout entrepreneurs will deliver their best pitches at our live virtual event in August for a chance to win the competition’s $50,000 grand prize. Read on to meet our finalists and learn about their unique journeys to success.
Compvide (Seattle, WA)
Compvide is an innovative biotech startup advancing research on the complement system—an essential part of the immune response involved in inflammation, infection, autoimmunity and cancer.
“After leaving my role in biotech R&D, I used an SBA loan and my 401(k) savings to launch Compvide in 2024,” says founder Sadam Yaseen, PhD. “Today, Compvide supports biotech companies and academic labs with research tools and diagnostics. We’ve developed a novel diagnostic kit for complement-related diseases and are also expanding into early-stage oncology research.”
Contoro Robotics (Austin, TX)
Contoro Robotics develops AI-powered solutions to handle one of the toughest jobs in logistics: unloading trailers and containers.
“Our mission is to solve the hardest problems in warehouse automation,” says Youngmok Yun, CEO. “Our human-in-the-loop approach combines AI-driven automation with human judgment where it matters most, allowing us to navigate complex, real-world environments. Backed by leading investors and trusted by major retailers, we’re redefining what’s possible in supply chain robotics.”
Equestrian Labs (Wellington, FL)
Equestrian Labs, doing business as Corro, is a one-stop shop for horse lovers across the U.S., offering tack, gear, wellness products and more through their online storefront.
“Corro was founded out of a genuine need for a more modern, streamlined shopping experience in the equestrian world,” says Mikaela Reiserer, CEO. “We’ve leaned into partnerships with riders, trainers and wellness experts to build meaningful content and connections.”
Forever Beaumore Cosmetics (Santa Ana, CA)
Founded by a Vietnamese refugee who became a beauty entrepreneur, Forever Beaumore formulates high-quality skincare and supplements blending Eastern tradition with modern science.
“We’re proud to be a family business serving more than 50,000 customers,” says Jenn Chung, president of Forever Beaumore and daughter of the company’s founder. “Our mission is to make skincare more approachable, effective and rooted in cultural pride because beauty should feel both personal and powerful.”
Virtus Performance Club (Santa Clara, CA)
Launched by three Stanford sports performance coaches in 2022, Virtus Performance Club provides young people with access to the same great training and resources as professional athletes.
“In the evenings after a full day at Stanford, we began working toward our vision for Virtus, coaching one athlete and one class at a time,” says co-owner and coach Anthony Tran. “Virtus isn’t just a gym. It’s a community in which athletes have the opportunity to work hard, build resilience, connect with others and achieve their goals.”
Congratulations to our finalists! We look forward to welcoming you to our live virtual event in August!
